Exp: 12-24 yrs
Education: BE/B Tech,ME/MTech, MCA or Msc(CS)...Only regular courses.
from 10th to highest degree should be 60% or above(a 10-15% variation can still be considered if some one has got excellent work experience)
Note: In this role some one should be working in the capacity of a Mgr/Sr Mgr role for the past 3-5 yrs.
This is a people mgr role with current or previous technical experience wherein some once can guide & coach various people in the performance engineering team.
One must have excellent comm skills as well.
Responsibilities:
The candidate must be proficient in defining and executing appropriate performance strategies/plans, success metrics. Managing the cost of performance measurement, analysis & improvement is a critical aspect of the role.
The candidate must have previous performance engineering management experience in hardware and software across multiple projects as well as experience with agile/scrum methodologies. You will:
* Manage a team of 8 - 10 experienced Performance Engineers.
* Provide mentoring to the team and provide guidance and support in using processes and tools.
* Drive and deliver software products on-time with high quality; using agile and customer focused quality practices throughout project work. Must take responsibility for quality of products.
* Define and utilize metrics and reports to manage performance efforts.
* Define and drive with architects and product stakeholders the strategic aims and roadmap for product performance as well as testing throughout the SDLC to achieve the department's aim.
* Provide consulting services on techniques to achieve of stated performance goals through education, training, coaching and collaboration on design and implementation.
* Be responsible for working closely with architects, developers, and quality assurance to ensure performance measurements for products are being addressed in a timely fashion.
* Exhibit a high degree of skill in matrix management and ability to influence others.
* Expertly facilitate and manage groups and teams around a topic or activity.
* Drive research & development of high performing reusable components and solution accelerators leading to Productivity & Efficiency improvement of Performance Testing & Engineering team.
* Keep current on new technologies and make recommendations on future direction as it relates to performance engineering as well as apply latest techniques and industry information as appropriate.
Qualifications:
* BE / B.Tech / MCA in Computer Science / Engineering or related discipline
* 12+ years of experience in software engineering at minimum
* 3 years of experience in managing engineering teams at minimum
* 3 years of experience in performance engineering is desired.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Works well independently and as part of a team
* Fluency in performance engineering methodologies and tools as well as understanding of software development processes.
* Good understanding of Oracle & SQL Server Databases, Monitoring & Analysis tools and techniques.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft, Java and n-Tier Web technologies
* Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment preferred
