Position Summary
We are looking for a Software QA Manager to apply their skills and experience in leading web and software QA team while following software QA best practices to ensure that products meet customer expectations. You will be responsible for leading a team of skilled white box engineers, QA engineers and automation engineers in ensuring the quality of critical applications that serve and support our customers.
Production support experience is a plus. Part of the QA team will provide production support in 2 shifts, morning 6:00am to evening 10:00pm
Responsibilities:
*Hire, train, supervise, motivate, and develop your QA staff.
*Manage resources and QA schedules.
*Manage automation development planning/releases
*Perform automation development
*Architect and design automation for different products
*Assign duties and monitor quality of work; assure staff follows QA best practices, methodologies, and processes.
*Provide day-to-day guidance and oversight of direct reports; actively works to promote and recognize performance.
*Keep up to date on overall activities of the team, identify issues early and take constructive, corrective actions.
*Diagnose and document advanced application issues received from customer support
*Helps define and implement test metrics to determine coverage and effectiveness.
*Apply industry best practices of standard testing methodologies and actively shares knowledge with the team.
Desired Skills and Experience:
*Should already be a people manager managing a team of people
*11+ years of relevant work experience including QA management experience
*Knowledge and experience of Security domain, any formal trainings is a plus.
*Hands on Development skills in Java
*Hands on experience with test automation software (JUnit, Selenium etc.)
*Experience building and operating automated testing frameworks for highly available and utilized applications and services.
*Participated in application end to end life cycle (Design, coding, testing and deployment).
*Demonstrated proficiency in building and managing high performance teams.
*Strong leadership, organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
*Ability to set goals, manage priorities and achieve scheduled deadlines.
*Strong written and verbal communication skills.
*Strong attention to detail and follow through.
*Ability to troubleshoot and isolate issues.
*Ability to work closely & collaboratively with other Development & QA teams especially across geographies.
*A passion for quality, for doing the right thing for the customer (Internal Teams), the product, and for the company.
*BE or equivalent degree in computer science from premier institute
