Ø  Data Modeler .

Ø  Database Designer with MSBI (MSBI means SQL Server, SSIS or SSRS or SSAS) experience .

Ø  Even if the person is good at DWH or BI Database Design along with good experience on SQL Server programming can also be considered .

Job Description:

Database Architect will be an integral member of the Development Team delivery world class performance and financial analytics for our customer facing Business Intelligence web portal.  He /She will work with BI Managers,  Jr. Database Architects, and Report Developers, System Engineers,  Business System Architects, and BI Analytics to design, document, and deliver Business Intelligence Solutions.  The solutions will be based on a mobile compliant N-Tier Web Architecture supporting thousands of concurrent users.  The data tier will be comprised of the MS Denali SQL Services.   He/she will be responsible for stability, scalability and manageability of the solution offering.

Top Activities and Responsibilities:

• Lead architecture and design of database features
• Defines and implements database and SQL standards and best practices
• Documents and publishes all database schemas to development team
• Executes all changes of db schema and maintains controlled development database environment
• Mentor developers
• Works closely with application developers to test, configure, and optimize servers based on application demands; work with large volume, heavy load databases
• Conduct T-SQL Code Reviews to ensure coding standards, best practices and avoid potential performance issues
• Create database scripts for all objects and integrate them with source control
• Handle database object deployment to Integration, QA, UAT, and Production
• Mentor developers
• Diagnoses and resolve development database issues

Experience :

• 10 years working on Enterprise scale relational databases
• 7 years of continuous MS SQL Server work recently
• Expert level Entity Relational modeling
• Expert level in Data Warehouse Dimensional Modeling
• Expert level in at least  2 of the following and Mid-level in 2 more:
  • SQL Server  
  • SQL Server Broker Services
  • Database Mirroring / Always-On
  • Master Data Services
  • Data Quality Services
• Expert level skills reading and writing complex stored procedures, views, and triggers
• Expert level experience writing stored procedures for reports
• Experience maintaining and managing SQL Server databases
• Excellent debugging and problem solving skills
• Experience developing and managing DTS and SSIS packages
• Experience writing technical documentation

• Preferrable should have experience in the following

• Some SQL Server Database Administration is a nice to have.

E-Commerce or Financial Banking background

Has worked on large ETL projects: 10 Terabyte or 10,000 source tables

Worked on Enterprise Mobile Web applications
