Sr Technical/Solutions Architect - Delphi - Contract 6 months - 1 Years
Technical Skills:
* Design & Architecture Experience in Delphi 2005 and later versions including XE4/XE5
* Full lifecycle architecture, design & development experience in building business applications using Delphi 2005 & later versions including XE4/XE5, SOA and RDBMS (PostGresSQL, SQL Server)
* Cloud enablement, Developing Mobile Applications using Delphi XE4/XE5
* Experience in creating Architecture Views using various tools such as MS Visio, Enterprise Architect etc
* Retail specific standards such as ARTS
* Experience integrating Delphi Apps with Java using ActiveMQ / FUSE
* Internationalize and localize applications using Helicon Translator
* Review of High / Low level design and Code
* Experience in applying Object Oriented concepts and Design Patterns
* Experience with Test-Driven Development and Secure Coding (including PCI/PII)
* Hands-on experience in Application Performance tuning tools/Processes
* Knowledge of Configuration Management and Release management using MS TFS
* Prior experience with migration projects
* Technical Authority and consultancy skills
Job Description :
* Understand current Product Architecture, conduct Technical Gap assessment for Cloud enabling product and prepare Conversion approach/strategy and Technical/Solutions Architecture Landscape
* Responsible for the creation of architectural solutions & frameworks for current and future solutions delivery activities; maintains, in collaboration with Quality Assurance team, the integrity of the architecture design and ensures the architecture principles are followed by the solutions delivery team
* Proactively assesses the solution architecture to identify potential problem areas; assist in devising targeted metrics to assess proposed system performance on an ongoing basis
* Define migration strategies and transition steps from the current state to the future state of the product/systems including introduction of new features and interoperability with existing applications
* Provides expertise to identify and translate functional requirements into system design documentation; work with technical Leads to ensure quality internal and external client-oriented product documentation
* Interfaces and coordinates tasks with both onsite and offshore technical resources; collaborates with Delivery Managers and Quality Assurance team to provision estimates, develop overall delivery plan, and serve lead as required
* Hands-on exposure to optmization and performance tuning Windows/enterprise scale applications
* Defines and assists with the implementation of source code control, knowledge management, project management portal and change management systems
* Extensive knowledge of a particular technical domain like software architecture, data architecture and infrastructure architecture
* Awareness on industry trends and emerging concepts and propose solutions for next generation. Maintains state-of-the-art knowledge of technologies, planning, design, and analysis methodologies
* Identify, understand and assess Technical risks in the projects and advise project/program managers on strategies to mitigate risk
* Works under general direction but will be expected to use discretion in identifying and resolving complex problems and assignments
