1.Job Description
Responsibilities
* Work with business users, project management, and ETL team to understand and clarify analytic reporting needs and design appropriate solutions
* Develop and tune Cubes, Universes, and Reports
* Make recommendations for design and tuning of warehouse aggregations to streamline analytics
* Assists as a technical mentor in training for less-experienced development staff
* Test developer tool version upgrades
Job Requirements
Requirements
* 3+ years of experience working with Business Intelligence technologies (required)
* 2+ years high volume data warehouse experience (highly preferred)
* 7+ Years IT experience (preferred)
* 3+ years of experience in data warehouse requirements analysis and data modeling (preferred)
* 2+ years of experience in data analysis and profiling using MS SQL Server (preferred)
* Practical experience and knowledge in the following Business Intelligence tool and technologies: (Business Objects - BOXI R4 Universe Design and Information Design Tool, BOXI Universe and WEBI Report development, CMC, and BOXI administration ) (required)
* Additional Business Intelligence Tools (Hyperion, Sharepoint BI, Tableau, WebFocus, etc.) (preferred)
* Operating System Environments (Windows, Unix, etc.). (preferred)
* MS SQL Services Reporting Services experience (preferred)
* Ability to write clear and concise technical documents
* Ability to clearly document a process or procedure for others to follow
* Complete tasks or projects with minimal supervision.
* Excellent written and verbal communications skills along with exceptional customer service skill
* One or more Data Warehousing related certifications (preferred)
* Bachelor"s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field (or equivalent work experience)
2.JOB DESCRIPTION
A highly motivated, detail-oriented business intelligence analyst with excellent Tableau data visualization development skills and experience working with large datasets. The position will participate in a wide variety of business intelligence efforts, including the development/support of internal and client-facing reports. A strong candidate will have experience designing and producing client-ready reports and data visualizations using relational/aggregate databases.
Essential Job Functions/Activities
* Work with internal clients and other team members to understand and define reporting requirements
* Use advanced data visualization tools to contextualize information in a manner suitable to key business user audiences
* Identify key business metrics measurements and develop methods to represent data in support of the measurements
* Provide guidance and insight on data visualization and reporting/dash boarding best practices
* Document reporting requirements and define report templates and dashboard specifications
* Build dashboards, automated reports and report templates
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Job Requirements
* Bachelor"s degree in a quantitative field (computer science, statistics or related)
* 2-6 years" experience in an business intelligence development or related role
* Experience using SQL to build custom datasets for reporting or analysis
* Expert user of Tableau or similar data visualization tools
* Able to work directly with end users to ensure results meet their needs
* Strong communication skills and desire to work in cross-functional groups
