Here is the JD: Location: Pune Experience:5%2B Years Job Description: Must Have Skills - Tasks and Responsibilities - Analyse functional reporting requirements. Map them to standard functionalities available in OBIA. Assess the level of fit. Determine the gap between requirements and available functionality. Identify the customisations needed, at the level of reports, data warehouse, and ETL. - Transform functional requirements into technical design at all technology levels. - Help to create test data sets, either at E-BS table level, or via the E-BS data entry screens. - Build the solution. - Help end-users test the solution. Help to set up test data. - Diagnose bugs and incidents. Trace unexpected results back to errors in the solution, or to errors in the source data or master data. Fix bugs and solve incidents. - Answer end-user questions. - Assist in doing deployments of new functionality, merging the work of multiple developers. Ensure a reliable and efficient deployment process. - Do daily monitoring on all environments. Ensure all ETL process run reliably and efficiently. - Optimise loading processes and monitoring processes. Knowledge required - Solid experience in developing BI solutions on line-of-business applications. Experience in all activities along the lifecycle: gathering requirements, setting up a data model (relational and dimensional), mapping requirements to the schema or API of the source system, designing and developing ETLs, building reports, testing and deploying. - Good experience in developing BI solutions using Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) - Good experience with at least one leading ETL tool, preferably with Informatica and OWB - Preferably also experience with the SAP Netweaver BI platform and with Integrated Planning - Preferably also experience with Cognos Controller - Preferably also experience with Microsoft BI technologies (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, PerformancePoint, Excel) - Preferably experience with extending and customizing Oracle BI Applications on Siebel and/or on E-Business Suite Skills and experience required Education - B.E, B.Tech, M.Sc(Comp), or MCA Technical - 5%2B years of IT experience with at least 5%2B years of BI development - Oracle Business Intelligence EE 10.3.x , SAP BI, or Microsoftt BI - Informatica, Oracle Wharehouse Builder (OWB) or other ETL tools - Oracle 10g/11g or SQL 2005/2008 databases - Programming language (Java or C%23.NET) Analytical - Ability to work independently, and report on status and planning of own work. - Experience in validating requirements and mapping them to standard solutions. - Experience in creating technical design documents. - Be able to work in a dynamic environment with evolving end-user demands. Be proactive in signalling false expectations and issues. - Be able to work in a cross-geographical team. Understand who the other team members are, and reach out to them whenever required. - Be persistent and analytical about solving bugs and incidents. - Good English oral communication skills.
