We have a position for Performance Engineer expert at JP Morgan, Mumbai.
Please find below the details.
As the Performance Engineer you will communicate with Project Managers, Systems Architects, Systems Analyst, DBA's and Application Developers to gather requirements for profiling and testing the application.
This individual will be responsible for designing test approaches for profiling activities and will investigate performance issues that are identified during Performance testing, during development and testing.
You will work closely with the Application Developers to inform and provide recommendations and assistance for making updates to improve application and database performance based on application design, performance issues discovered, and best practices. You will participate in design discussions and reviews for application and database updates.
The points below have been carefully considered as being essential for the role. Your background must accurately reflect all of these, with or without a reasonable accommodation, for your application to be considered.
* 8+ years of experience in application development.
* Should be experienced in using Java profiling tools such as jProbe, Jprofiler and/or JVisualVM .
* Should be experience in Oracle 10g and be well versed in fine tuning SQL and PL/SQL
* Should be experienced in Monitoring tools like Sitescope, Wily Introscope
* Should be experienced in Perl, Shell scripting, Windows Scripting
* Experience with either Load Runner or Performance Center Testing tool.
* Should be experienced in contributing strategy for creating Performance Test Plans and Scenarios, while specifying approach, Strategy, Architecture, Environment, Roles and Responsibilities.
Skills required:
* Web logic/Web sphere/JBOSS Tuning, JVM Tuning, Performance analysis & Capacity planning
* Web logic installation / Domain Setup / Domain Administration
* Extensive working knowledge in UNIX and Windows platforms
* Complete awareness of Software Development Life Cycle
* Good understanding of Relational Database Management Systems
* Experience in performance testing Web-based, Middleware and Mainframe applications on different environments
Transferable Skills:
* Ability to work in a fast paced environment
* Ability to multi-task
* Good communication skills, both verbal and written
