Experience required for the Job: 8 - 15 years Annual Salary of the Job: 8.0 - 20.0 Lacs Job Location: Chennai Apply Now   Reply Dear Candidate, Role: Architect (Java/open source) Practice: Java + open source Project: Location: Chennai Travel Required: On need basis Job Description Role and Responsibilities * Individually contribute, propose solutions and own it * Engage hands-on directly with engineering teams as and when required * Design and provide technical direction of new projects in collaboration with lead developers and architectural team * Represent the architecture team in collaborations with peer groups across the company, in establishing technical best practices and designing architectural solutions * Contribute with the technology solution / POCs as part of pre-sales activity * Mentor resources on technology and trends Qualifications and Education Requirements * Graduation or above Job Experience Requirements * 8-10 years of hands-on Java/Open Source development * Provided solution for a minimum of 3 Enterprise Grade applications * Ability to define non functional requirements and to translate functional + non-functional requirements to POCs * Hands-on experience across the range of technologies (Java, Web and related technologies, Webservices, popular Java libraries, Unix / Linux and variants, Scripting languages, Databases, Open source tools and technologies) Mandatory Skills * Expertise (5+ years) on some of the following: Core Java, Enterprise Java with web, Web technologies, popular java libraries, XML and related technologies, App servers, relational databases * Experience on one or more of the following: Aspects of SOA, Big data concepts and implementation, Cloud concepts and implementation, Mobile applications, No-SQL * Ability to articulate the understanding of requirements and the reason behind a suggested solution approach * Open to new technologies and standards and technology neutral in suggesting architecture * Self starter and learner of new technologies and is abreast of technological trends * Excellent communication skills Note * This job description does not expect or require skills on people management. * Candidates who apply are expected to be hands on.
