JD: Database architects must have a solid and wide-reaching foundation in programming and database structures, but should also possess sound communication and team working skills. Database architects often work as part of a team explaining to other technical personnel the changes needed to maintain a database's stability, or speaking with stockholders and other business leaders to describe the importance of the company's databases and their functions. In addition to technical know-how and communication savvy, database architects must also be creative problem solvers. * Design database applications, such as interfaces, data transfer mechanisms, global temporary tables, data partitions, and function-based indexes to enable efficient access of the generic database structure. * Design databases to support business applications, ensuring system scalability, security, performance and reliability. * Develop data models for applications, metadata tables, views or related database structures. * Develop load-balancing processes to eliminate down time for backup processes. * Develop or maintain archived procedures, procedural codes, or queries for applications. * Develop and document database architectures. * Develop database architectural strategies at the modeling, design and implementation stages to address business or industry requirements. * Collaborate with system architects, software architects, design analysts, and others to understand business or industry requirements. * Create and enforce database development standards. * Demonstrate database technical functionality, such as performance, security and reliability. * Determines database structural requirements by analyzing client operations, applications, and programming; reviewing objectives with clients; evaluating current systems; * Develops database solutions by designing proposed system; defining database physical structure and functional capabilities, security, back-up, and recovery specifications. * Installs database systems by developing flowcharts; applying optimum access techniques; coordinating installation actions; documents actions. * Maintains database performance by identifying and resolving production and application development problems; calculating optimum values for parameters; evaluating, integrating, and installing new releases; completing maintenance; answering user questions. * Skills/Qualifications: Database Design, Data Maintenance, Database Security, Database Management, Requirements Analysis, Teamwork, Technical Zeal, Project Management, Presenting Technical Information, Training , Operating Systems Exp: 8-15 Job location: Bangalore If you are looking for change please send me your profile along with following details.
