The Principal Technical Solutions Engineer (PTSE) / Tech Lead is a key technical role within Global Customer Support (GCS). PTSE's/Tech Lead work closely with other members of GCS to ensure cases are prioritized appropriately and are being worked most efficiently. PTSE's / Tech Lead use GCS"s standard processes, procedures, and methods to do so.
As the 'point of entry' for Service Requests (SRs) into GCS, PTSE's / Tech Lead focus first on quickly and effectively clarifying customers" issues. Once issues are clarified, PTSE's / Tech Lead will either continue to drive them to resolution or route them to others in GCS for further work.
Technical Skills:
* Good Experience in Java/J2EE, Webservices technologies
* Knowledge in troubleshooting and Debugging
* Experience in Memory leaks, Heap & Thread dump analysis
* Experience in Application Servers (Installation/Configuration/Deployment)
* Knowledge in Clustering configuration, Connection pooling, Serialization Mechanism
* Good aptitude and troubleshooting skills
* Knowledge in UI Technologies (HTML , CSS, Javascript)
* Must be willing to work in Rotational Shift (4-day Model)
* Excellent communication
Job Overview
A Principal Technical Solutions engineer / Lead is expected to
* Quickly and effectively clarify cases entered though GCS"s standard entry channels.
* Qualify and resolve cases as time and technical capability allows.
* Follow GCS"s case management practices, including meeting all SLAs and making sure cases are kept up to date in PegaSupport.
* Demonstrate clear, concise, and effective communication to customers and within Pegasystems.
* Provide feedback to the Documentation, Engineering and Product Management teams to improve the quality of our product and documentation.
Other responsibilities as required
* Accountable for technology work and customer communication for support requests in his/her work list
* Responsible for maintenance of GCS process compliance
