Years Of Experience:5-12 Yrs Job Location:Bangalore Job Description : Candidates required who are strong on the following skill sets. RESPONSIBILIITES: * You will be designing, developing and maintaining applications for the voice communication platforms such as IP-PBX, Voice Mail, Voice Recording and Audio Conferencing systems. * You will manage, enhance and support existing applications in the voice domain. * Interface with the global team members to define product roadmaps, gather requirements and perform engineering/design reviews. * Manage the software development life cycles for the applications * Document the design, architecture, monitoring and support aspects of the developed applications. * As part of the profile you will primarily be working on the following systems, but not limited to: o Develop Java applications and web services on the Linux/Tomcat platforms o Database systems including Sybase, Informix and MySQL o Middleware platforms using XMPP messaging SKILL / EXPERIENCE * Minimum 5 years of experience in developing Java applications using J2EE, JPA * Experience in data modeling and developing database interfacing applications * Experience in at least one of the following scripting languages: Perl, Python, Tcl * Experience in developing middleware applications * Experience in developing web based applications and APIs on the Linux/Tomcat platforms * Strong background in XML * Strong analytical and quantitative skills * Familiarity with communication and messaging protocols such as SIP, H.322 and XMPP * Ability to clearly document applications designs and the related management and support procedures * Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to manage multiple tasks and manage time effectively. * Experience on the voice and multimedia communication platforms a definite plus * Excellent inter-personal skills are mandatory. (Preferably demonstrable by experience in global setting) * Excellent communications, verbal and oral, are essential * Be able to create and articulate design/implementation options and tradeoffs to peers, tech leads, and management. * Ability to quickly ramp-up on new/emerging technologies as required.
