Please find the JD below: SQL Server DBA * The scope of this job is SQL database administration, which is responsible for the installation, testing, configuration, trouble shooting and maintenance of SQL Server2000, 2005 and 2008 technologies. Establishes and documents standards and procedures for management review. The candidate should have been able to create, implement process, making the database administration support model more efficient. The ability to follow instructions both written and verbal is paramount as well as the ability to multi-task. Strong verbal skills are a must. Flexible work schedule is a must. Occasional travel is required. Job responsibilities: Strong in operations management, technical skills and client servicing. Database operations: Responsibility lies with install, configure, troubleshoot and reporting on all SQL Server database environments for all outsourced client environments. Knowledge on Disaster Recovery as well backup and recovery support. Good Knowledge and experience on SQL Server database migration. Good knowledge on high availability and maintainability like clustering, log shipping, replication etc. Experience on T-SQL programming will be an added advantage. Assist for on-call duties as required. Demonstrates an authoritative and professional manner in verbal, written and telephone communications. Adheres to procedures, maintains records and demonstrates commitment to solving user problems. Demonstrates a systematic, disciplined, and analytical approach to problem solving. Ability to adapt in a rapidly changing environment, work effectively under high pressure and growth mode. Assist senior Oracle DBA"s while implementing complex integrated IT Infrastructure solutions requiring relevant products and services. To manage the performance of services to clients as agreed in the contract and ensure that the service levels are achieved. Skills, education and experience: * 5-7 years of SQL Server DBA experience on installation, testing, commissioning, trouble shooting on production and development servers * Good conceptual understanding and experience on storage for SAN and NAS. * Strong analytical, problem solving skills to understand and anticipate the impact and opportunities across multiple projects. * Knowledge on Windows 2003/2008 operating systems. Candidate should be able to manage backup environments with heterogeneous operating systems. * Good knowledge on ITIL processes.
