Responsibilities & Skills Desired Role Description: ? Need a strong SQL Server application DBA profile having 5-7 years of experience. ? The position requires strong application development DBA skills like database tuning/optimization and performance improvement ? Work closely with analysts/developers. ? Will drive SQL Server and other related technologies initiatives. ? Assist application development teams deliver sophisticated multi-tier, SOA based web applications that help provide the highest level of service to our 18,000 strong financial advisors and 12 MM+ clients. ? Full life cycle hands-on development. Educational Qualifications: Bachelor?s/Masters Degree in Engineering, preferably Computer Science Years of experience: 5 to 7 years hands-on experience in application DBA skills   ? Design/Develop physical data model. ? Very strong SQL , Database tuning/optimization and performance improvement ? Database tuning. ? PL/SQL / SQL writing. ? Exposure SQL Server 2000\2005\2008. ? Excellent written and verbal communication skills.   GOOD TO HAVE: ?SSIS knowledge ? Exposure to Database like IBM DB2, Oracle , TeraData, Mainframe technology is a plus ?Understanding of how distributed technology accesses databases is a plus. ? Finance and Banking domain experience required ? An interest and familiarity of multiple technology platforms is required to be successful within the group.
