Job Description:
The IT Solution Expert provides advanced technical knowledge and analysis of highly specialized applications, main technologies used in our infrastructure and operational environments as well as performing IT platform related tasks and activities required by business application projects, IT platform projects and continuous improvement initiatives. Participates in design, build and transition to RUN phases of business projects and IT platform initiatives; May advice on complex problems. He is also recognized for understanding, communicating, and implementing common best practices related to his area of expertise.
The IT Solution Expert BI (Spotfire), will be responsible for technologies involved in the BI oriented application environments.
Roles and responsibilities will be:
• Help with solution design in Spotfire Projects
• Administer Spotfire Environments
• Conduct POCs to test the features
• Troubleshoot and debug issues related to Spotfire and related technologies
• Install Spotfire in a multi-server environment
• Answer problems escalated from platform support team
• Work with TIBCO Support to identify and address issues
• Help with continuous improvements and of BI Platforms and automate processes to improve efficiency
• Follow and enforce our standards and best practices
• Create and update technical documentation as needed
• If required should be flexible to learn new tools and technologies
Technical knowledge
 Must have strong Spotfire Technical and admin knowledge.
 Understanding of Spotfire architecture, Kerberos, load-balancing, clustering, security, SSO
 Experience in architecting solutions for BI projects
 Experience in working in a “platform as a service†environment
 Extensive experience in end-to-end implementation of Business Intelligence (BI) projects
IS Architecture
 General knowledge of Infrastructure Architectures and their associated capacities/constraints
Good knowledge in Application Hosting Architecture related to middleware platforms and their associated capacities/constraints
Degree in IT or related
5 years of experience in middleware (BI- Spotfire) , infrastructure technologies, ITIL, IT architecture.
