Department Overview:
Cash Settlements, Docs & Loans IT are in charge of providing world-class IT solutions to FXMM Operations in the product areas FX, MM, OTC Derivatives, Emerging Markets, as well as Loans. System functionality covers settlements, confirmations, documentation, and handling of structured and syndicated Loans. Main user group are FXMM Operations with a global presence, e.g., in UK (London), USA (New York), Singapore, India (Bangalore, Mumbai and Jaipur), Australia (Sydney), plus a large number of branches in AsiaPacific.
The Cash Settlements, Docs & Loans IT department focuses on the following key priorities:
⢠Delivering change as mandated by regulators globally
⢠Clearing up technical debt in the area
⢠Working closely with Operations to increase operational efficiency
⢠Consolidating system platforms with a view towards one system per function
Cash Settlements, Docs & Loans IT has staff members in New Jersey, London, Frankfurt, Bangalore, and Singapore to deliver change to our global users and provide effective L3 support around the globe.
Position Description
The software development engineer (Java) designs and develops application frameworks for OTC Derivatives Docs & Setts, applies them in response to business requirements and participates as part of a team on development-related work. The software development engineer develops code as per the technical specification and test it as per unit test standards before delivering it to test environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Software Development:
⢠Leads development of source code, including descriptions, for all Software Components in accordance with the Detailed Software Requirements Specification, the functional design and technical design documents
⢠Verifies the developed source code by reviews (4-eyes principle). Software review findings must be resolved
⢠Integrates software components following the groups integration strategy
⢠Verifies integrated software components by unit and integrated software testing according to the software test plan. Software test findings must be resolved
⢠Ensures that all code changes are tracked and recorded through the groups change management process as Change Items (CIs) and that development is scheduled and approved
⢠Provides Release Deployments on non Production Management controlled environments
⢠Captures Build and Deployment notes, develops Software Product Deployment & Operating Instructions
⢠Checks consistency of documents with the respective Software Product Release.
⢠Supports creation of Software Product Training Material, Software Product User Guides and Software Product Deployment Instructions.
⢠Supports the development of Software Product Operating Instructions.
⢠Checks consistency of documents with the respective Software Product Release.
⢠Manages maintenance of applications and performs technical change requests scheduled according to Release Management processes.
⢠Fixes software defects/bugs.
⢠Measures and analyzes code for quality.
⢠Collaborates with Functional Analysts and QA to complete work, as required.
⢠Reviews and mentors other developers in developing mathematical calculations which perform to expected results and handle negative test case scenarios
⢠Provides Level 3 support
⢠Contributes to root cause/problem analysis
Technical Skills:
⢠Experience of working in a team development environment as well as globally distributed project team
⢠Experience in source code management, continuous build and integration technologies and hands-on experience with resp. tools, e.g. Subversion/GIT, Maven, Hudson/Jenkins, Eclipse IDE, Sonar
⢠Messaging Technology and Tools: JMS, MQ
⢠Programming experience and related Technologies: Java EE (EJBs, JMS, JAAS, JPA/Hibernate, JTA, JDBC â¦) Spring, Weblogic, JBoss/Tomcat
⢠Experience with BPM and workflow engines, preferably HP Scrittura
⢠Experience with test automation/unit testing and resp. tools, e.g. JUnit, TestNG
⢠Web Technologies and Tools: HTTP, XML, SOAP, Web Services, REST, GWT, Javascript
⢠Database Technologies: Oracle , SQL and PL/SQL
⢠Knowledge of network & system security
