Job Requirements
Have understanding of
- OLAP, OLTP, Data Model Design, ETL Tools, BI and reporting tools, NoSQL, Bigdata tools.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
-Must have strong experience in data modelling.
- Ability to gather and digest business requirements and high-level technical requirements, and convert into solutions and designs.
- Proficiency in conceptual, logical and physical data model designs.
- Good understanding of OLTP and OLAP designs.
- Critical and creative thinking, ability to think out of the box
- Proficiency in at least one of widely used data modeling tools, e.g., ERwin, ER/Studio, PowerDesigner, among others.
- Proficiency in SQL programming
- Proficiency in stored procedures (PL/SQL, T-SQL) and experience in 1 or more database platforms
- Experience in end to end data designing and architecting in 1 or 2 large enterprise projects especially in Fund Accounting / Investment Banking domain
- Experience and Ability to undertake Information / Data Architecture review exercises
- Exposure or high knowledge of Big Data and BD tools is desired and Preferred
- Experience in defining Data Management practices such as Data Integration, Master Data Management, Data Governance
- Ability to create both, the E-R data models (conceptual, logical and physical) as well as Dimensional data models used for reporting/ visualizations
- Knowledge of one of the Industry Standard Enterprise Data Models in BFSI domain is desirable and preferred
Other Requirements
- Good understanding of transactions and concurrent processes and their relevance to application and data designing
- Excellence in verbal and written communication.
- A self-starter, with ability to works well both independently and in team collaboration and lead initiatives
- Good Understanding of BI/Reporting tools, experience in any one of (Cognos, Microstrategy, OBIEE, Crystal Reports, SSRS)
- Good Understanding of ETL Tools, experience in any one (Informatica, ODI, DataStage, SSIS)
- Exposure to Financial Services Industry (3-5 yrs)
- Good team player and motivator
- Good exposure in Investment Banking / Specifically in Fund Servies domain.
- Creating and maintaining standards and best practice guidelines
Qualifications:
Graduation/Post Graduation qualifications in Computer Engineering (preferable) or any relative stream with a good academic record.
A high degree of Analytical ability and Quantitative skills is desirable.
Relevant certifications would be added advantage.
