The Role
The Global Wealth Management Technology group is a hub supporting the business across three continents and various jurisdictions covering all areas of Private Banking from front end applications to the core accounting systems. The Team, composed of close to 400 professionals in India, is in charge of implementing business sponsored and mandatory projects as well as providing technical support. Projects range from market expansion, finance, credit, regulatory, operations efficiency, tax, suitability, and other areas such product industrialization and client servicing solutions.
The candidate will be working in Operations Technology team as application developer providing solutions to Operations team to reduce their manual activities and hence improve their efficiency. The team is very quickly moving towards cloud technology and the candidate would have opportunity to build cloud native application.
Responsibilities - Work will include all aspects of Software Development lifecycle with a focus on Java Development using Core Java and J2EE standards.
Criteria
· Require 8+ years experience in Core Java and J2EE technologies
· Strong background on Java, JSP, JavaScript, Angular-JS, REST Services, SOAP Services, JMS, Frameworks (Spring, Struts, JSF), iBatis
· Experience with source code management techniques/tools (GIT, Maven)
· Experience with IDE's such as RAD, Eclipse
· Experience building cloud native applications would be a huge plus
· Experienced on Databases, Store Procedures (Oracle)
· Experience on BPM tools (such as jBPM, OBPM, Pega, Lombardi) is preferred
· Working knowledge on Unix scripting
· Familiarity with IBM Portal development, deployment & Portal technologies
· Mule, QPID, MQ experience desirable
Key Responsibilities:
· Serve as a member of a Scrum development team to deliver technology solutions in an Agile fashion including, but not limited to, sprint planning, complexity analysis, standups, and sprint retrospectives.
· Design, analyze, develop, code, debug and document programming to satisfy business requirements for large, complex projects.
· Adhere to firm-wide architecture standards, risk management and security policies.
· Deliver on J2EE and RDBMS based technologies for the Operations business
· Design the technical architecture for new applications and changes to existing applications including class diagrams/object modeling, data modeling, and system interfaces.
· Translate functional specifications into technical specifications and runbooks in support of application builds.
· Perform application development build tasks and perform application coding in J2EE and RDBMS technologies along with select vendor applications.
· Communicate timely build status on development items to management team, as well as raise/work to resolve issues impacting development.
