Job Description Summary
Work as part of CATS Energy project team to develop and deliver software products for the accumulation of energy related information. Incumbent must have good working knowledge of Microsoft development tools Visual Studio, C# .Net, and SQL Server Management Studio. Incumbent has knowledge of various development techniques and applies both existing and new technologies in developing solutions.
General Job Duties
• Participate in the development of solutions based on industry requirements.
• Participate as part of a large project team to code, test, and implement moderately complex programs.
• Establishes testing procedures to ensure application is thoroughly tested throughout development and before release.
• Monitor and report to management and/or technical lead on project status, identify issues that may impede attainment of goals, recommend and implement corrective measures.
• Perform other duties as required.
Education/Experience Requirements
• Bachelors in Computer Science, related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in software and database development.
• Thorough understanding of MS Visual Studio, C# .Net, MS SQL Server TSQL, and MS TFS.
• Thorough understanding of relation database concepts, Graphical User Interface, and service oriented architecture.
• Knowledge of one or more graphical user interface tools such as Infragistics and database object tools such as CSLA a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills â€" must be able to work effectively as part of a project/program team and foster team cooperation.
• Must be able to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel.
• Helps mentor other peers and colleagues with industry best practices.
Organizational Relationships
• Reports directly to technical lead and development management.
• Interacts with other colleagues at all levels in the conduct of day-to-day activities.
• Participates in meetings with internal stakeholders to assess business needs.
