The principal developer has responsibilities from application requirements and development to project level architecture. Its focus is on defining the changes required to meet business requirements and processes, while developing and leveraging IT standards in response to changing business needs. A principal developer has end-to-end responsibilities of the technical implementation of business projects and IT standards and guidelines. The principal developer will be involved in the early phases of business and IT projects with responsibilities extending through all phases of development, including development. This role will be leveraged to develop and deliver web application solutions across multiple business units.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for full systems development lifecycle from requirements gathering through implementation of various functional architecture solutions for RSA web applications
• Create, present and justify High Level Architecture (HLA)
• Ensure best practices, business requirements, and architectural objectives are met
• Lead junior team members in developing solutions to complex business problems
• Lead technical efforts in the initial project planning phases for business problems
• Lead research, discovery, planning, and implementation efforts to improve business processes
• Participate in and drive the Solution Architecture Review for projects and applications
• Document solutions, data flows, procedures, and other technical information as directed
• Evaluate and apply emerging technologies to meet current or emerging business needs
• Provides master-level technical support within the appropriate discipline
• Mentor junior members of the technical staff
• Create technical designs
Review and write code with the web development team to ensure best practices, business requirements, and architectural objectives are met.
• In depth knowledge of the .Net technology stack including C#, .Net 4.0-4.5, MVC, WSDL, and SQL Server.
• Expertise is required in the standard web technologies such as XML, HTML, Rest APIs, JavaScript, and AngularJS.
• Possess knowledge of the Jive platform and add-on development
• Experience with PKI and other security technologies is required
• Expert in SDLC and Agile development with TFS
• Experience with Java is a plus
• Experience with Telerik Rad Controls and Kendo UI is a plus
• Experience with VMWare tools is a plus
• Experience with a multi-tiered DMZ is a plus
• Should provide technical guidance to other development team members
• Must be able to lead a technical requirements gathering session, oversee and approve creation and maintenance of application and system documentation used in design, testing or programming efforts and manage integration.
• Knowledge of integration points with other applications and the order in which these must be executed
• Experience with large project implementations
