1FBSSPL to develop and maintain the software from Bangalore.
Information Technology/Engineering department at Bangalore is around 18 member team and maximum we plan to grow is 30.

Job Title: Project Lead

Reports To: General Manager - IT
Job Overview:
The Project Lead assists the Program Manager in managing the software development activities using Rational Unified Process (RUP) methodology. He/ she actively manages a team and helps it in various phases of the software development lifecycle.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
oAssist the Program Manager in Requirement Analysis, Estimation, Design, Design Reviews, Code writing when required, Code Reviews; act as liaison between the development and QA teams; participate in project meetings and deployment activities.
oExpect to spend upto 50% of the time at work in managing people and teams.
oReview team members" work to ensure design and coding guidelines are followed.
oWork with developers to resolve technical issues & mentor them.
oFacilitate and support the delivery of excellent quality product releases.
oWhen needed, act as liaison between team members in the US and Bangalore.
oMaintain disciplined software engineering practices in day to day development work.
oPerform functional design reviews, code reviews & unit tests.
oPerform process reviews to ensure that software engineering processes meet changing business conditions and remain consistent with industry best practices.
oUnderstand, interpret and apply technical concepts as they apply to N-tier distributed computing, end-to-end performance, availability, reliability, security, integration and configurability.
oReport work status on technical tasks to program manager
oOther duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
*Education & Experience:
oCollege degree in any one/ combination of following disciplines: engineering, computer science, information technology, project management, management of information systems, business management.
oKnowledge of programming in all tiers of a typical J2EE application (Front-end, Business layer and O/R mapping/DAO layer) using Java/ J2EE, Struts, Spring, Hibernate, Ajax and other J2EE technologies. Proficiency with both NT and UNIX environments, including software deployment and execution.
oExperience in doing software design/ design reviews that involve Java/ J2EE design patterns, coding/ code reviews to adhere to Java/ J2EE coding standards.
oExperience defining and documenting processes and requirements in such a way that both business and technology stakeholders understand.
oKnowledge of project management methodology, programming concepts.
oDemonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment with remote teams.
*Language/ management/ technical or other specific skills:
oMust possess excellent communication skills in English - both verbal and written.
oDocumentation experience including creating Flowcharts, Use Cases, Front-End Specifications, and UML.
oKnowledge of the full software development life cycle. RUP experience desirable.
oDemonstrated ability to meet deadlines and to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
oAbility to build relationships with diverse teams so as to complete assignments on time and meet changing priorities.
oExcellent facilitation and negotiation skills.
oExperience in web-based Financial Services domain would be an added advantage (banking, credit cards).
