Roles & Responsibilities:
General Description:
Supervises software development activities which may include one or more of the following: a) software systems development - oversees the design, development, troubleshooting and debugging of software for operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases, etc. b) software applications development - oversees the analysis, design, programming, debugging and modification of computer programs for commercial or end user applications such as materials management, financial management, HRIS, or personal applications products (e.g., spreadsheets, tax packages, personal finance programs). c) quality assurance - develops quality standards for company products, oversees the development and execution of software test plans and analysis of test results. Provides guidance to subordinates to achieve goals in accordance with established policies.
Requirements:
Must have:
• Minimum 3 years PHP development experience
• Working knowledge of Object Oriented PHP and MySQL.
• Experience with Subversion.
• Comfortable working in a Linux environment.
• Experience with Apache configuration.
• Proven ability to lead a team in a fast paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Working experience with client side technologies such as HTML, JavaScript and CSS
Nice to Have:
• Yii 1.x framework
• Integrations using 3rd party APIs (REST and SOAP)
• Concrete5 CMS customization
• Python, BASH, or C
• Experience with jQuery, SASS, Bootstrap
Education:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, Master's degree preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 7 years related experience; minimum 2 years prior management/supervisory experience preferred. Advanced computer software skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to lead and direct multiple projects simultaneously; ability to delegate work to subordinate employees; proven leadership ability.
