Hiring for Client Xorail for Bangalore Location Job Location :Bangalore Description: Database Developer’s role is to develop/Administrator and maintain databases across the organization, while ensuring high levels of data availability. Will in addition evaluate and advise on all technology components, such as software, hardware, and networking capabilities, for database management systems and applications. As part of the role they will be responsible for implementing data dashboards to all levels of the organization, Development, Maintenance and Unit testing. Responsibilities: • Design and deploy data table structures, forms, reports, and queries. • Conduct research and make recommendations on database products, services, protocols and standards in support of procurement and development efforts. • Recommends solutions by defining database physical structure and functional capabilities, database security, data back-up, and recovery specifications. • Maintains database performance by calculating optimum values for database parameters, implementing new releases, completing maintenance requirements, evaluating computer operating systems and hardware products. • Coordinate and work with other technical staff to develop relational databases and secondary databases (i.e. Access). • Identify inefficiencies in current databases and investigate solutions. • Diagnose and resolve database access and performance issues. • Plan and coordinate data migrations between systems. • Develop, implement, and maintain change control and testing processes for modifications to databases. • Development and maintenance of the database stored procedures, views and functions for hosted web applications. • Ensure all database systems meet business and performance requirements. • Produce ad-hoc queries and develop reports to support business needs. • Creation and maintenance of technical documentation. • Development and maintenance of Data Warehouse. • working closely with IT project managers, database programmers and multimedia programmers; • communicating regularly with technical, applications and operational staff to ensure database integrity and security. • Implementation of data dashboards to display data in differing formats.   Skills:  • Proven experience working with Microsoft SQL Server ,Sybase or Oracle. • Skillset to work on tight deadlines under pressure. • Possess extensive experience with Transact-SQL or PL-SQL, Procedures, Functions and Views. • Knowledge of Scrum methodology of Agile software development and its application. • Strong ability to carry out research and innovation. • Strong knowledge of systems and software development lifecycles, application integration techniques and relational database design. • Outstanding spatially enabled enterprise applications creation and maintenance skill. • Sound knowledge and experience working with software application and database design ideas. • Excellent skill in communicating orally and in writing with people. • Excellent troubleshooting ability. • Proficient working on various projects together at the same time and achieving resounding success. • Highly effective working in a team, as well as working independently. • Possess a Bachelor’s degree commonly in Computer Technology or in a related field. • an understanding of information legislation, such as the Data Protection Act. Work experience: • 10+ years’ work experience required. • Strong work experience on more than one RDBMS (Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL Server, Sybase) - programming with PL/SQL. • Should have good knowledge in ETL and Reports.
