LEAD ANDROID DEVELOPER
We are hiring to build a very strong technical team for the growth of our organization. We offer a very friendly and encouraging atmosphere for you to ideate and develop your skills. You will be working with very qualified and experienced pool of people, who will guide you through for a kick start of your career. You will have to collaborate with the Project Manager to understand client's business requirements.
We are looking for a Mobile app developer to design, development and maintenance of Android apps. The developer will work on the entire app lifecycle right from concept stage until delivery and post launch support. Apps will content based and integrated closely with the web sites. The challenge is to ensure user experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Deliver across the entire app life cycle -concept, design, build, deploy, test, release to app stores and support
*Work with Lead Developer on the work package effort estimation
*Working directly with developers and product managers to conceptualize, build, test and realize products
*Gather requirements around functionality and translate those requirements into elegant functional solutions
*Build prototypes at tech scoping stage of projects
*Working along the web developers to create and maintain a robust framework to support the apps
*Working with the front end developers to build the interface with focus on usability features
*Create compelling device specific user interfaces and experiences
*Standardizing the platform and in some cases apps to deliver across multiple brands with minimal duplication of effort
*Optimizing performance for the apps
*Explain technologies and solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders
*Reverse engineer for debugging errors in code
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
*Strong OO design and programming skills in Java (J2EE/ J2ME)
*Concepts of MySQL database
*Passionate, Quick learner and keen eye for detail
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
*Ability to use analytic data and user testing to inform design decision
*A passion for new consumer technology and the emerging media landscape
*Ability to multi task and good time management skills
*Ability to work on their own and as a part of the team
*Excellent scoping and estimation skills
*Excellent testing/ QA skills
*Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to liaise with various departments locally and internationally
DESIRABLE SKILLS:
*Creative design skills
*Knowledge of SQLite, MySQL or similar database management system
*Familiar with Eclipse
*Experience on web service integration (SOAP, REST, JSON, XML)
*Good understanding of OO programming and design patterns
*Experience building web and native apps
*Experience using social media APIs
*Using version control (e.g. SVN)
*Excellent debugging and optimization skills
QUALIFICATION:
*Bachelors/ Master Degree in Computer/IT
*3-5 Years of experience in developing Android App
*Minimum of Three Android apps in Google Play
*Applicant with mCommerce app will be preferred
