Expectations
*Architect, Design and Develop software for distributed systems with the high performance, scalability and availability requirements
*Own and drive development and delivery of features in the API
*Articulate and communicate design and development processes to technical and non-technical team members
*Provide architecture, design clarity and implementations for the junior engineers & constantly improve upon those
*Keep abreast of new technologies, the trade-offs, and the design patterns emerging in web services and software development practice in general
*Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineers within the team
*Be a self-driven individual contributor and strive to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Qualifications
*8+ years of software development experience
*A degree in Computer Science or related degree required. Equivalent work experience accepted.
*Excellent communication and writing skills in English
*Excellent Hands On knowledge of Architectural Patterns, Design Patterns, programming languages, especially Java and JavaScript (NodeJS). Knowledge of C/C++ would be an advantage.
*Experience in architecting, designing & developing high performance, scalable and available web services (predominantly REST architecture) using JEE
*Experienced in using frameworks such as Spring and Apache CXF.
*Knowledge of object-oriented design and design patterns
*Good understanding of relational database performance concepts and usage of ORM frameworks such as Hibernate
*Experience in using build tools such as Maven and source code repository tools such as Git
*Well experienced in developing and executing automated unit, functional and integration test
