  • What motivates researchers to take a career break?
  • What is the impact of a career break on research outputs?
  • What are the challenges when researchers take a career break?
jobs.ac.uk and our sister service, piirus.ac.uk, are conducting a survey about the experiences and perceptions of career breaks (e.g. a period of time stopped working with the intention of returning later) within research and higher education.

So, if you're an academic, a former academic or someone who supports academics, we want to hear your views.

With few resources available to help researchers to understand the real and perceived impact of career breaks, by taking the time to do this survey, you will provide much needed insight to those considering taking a career break or returning to research.

The survey should take no longer than 5 minutes to complete and all answers are strictly confidential.

All responses will be entered into a draw to win a £100 Amazon voucher.

Thank you in advance
