Job Responsibilities :
1) Performing Database administration in 24x7 production system support handling large databases(DB versions 11gR2,11gR1,10g, 9i) on various UNIX platforms Installation, configuration and maintenance of RAC, ASM, Data Guard, RMAN and Streams.
2) Maintaining Oracle Data Guard & Standby Database and providing critical solution with strategic disaster recovery plans with different recovery procedures and methods Creating Unix shell scripts for databases startup/shutdown, monitoring, backups and maintenance of database etc., Auditing of the Data/Database objects for auditors for Database security Refresh database and schema using Export/Import, Datapump utility as per the project requirements Working with Stored Procedures, User Defined Functions, Cursors, Triggers and Schema Performing Oracle Installations , Upgrading databases to higher version.
3) Database Migrations Designing strategies for performing database backups and recovery Provide technical support and assistance to database end-users and Creating users, allocation tablespace quotas with necessary privileges and roles for databases Resolve complex technical issues Applying Critical security patches (CPU/PSU) for Security vulnerabilities fix to the databases Resolving ORA- errors Diagnosed the database bottlenecks using Oracle ADDM and AWR tools Performed performance analysis for critical databases
