Fidelity Pricing & Cash Management Services (FPCMS) provides accounting and investment management support services for Fidelity mutual funds and other retail and institutional investment products. These services include calculating and distributing NAVs, distribution rates and yields for a wide variety of investment products; preparing fund financial statements, dividend estimates and tax returns; monitoring delivery of fund trades to custodian banks; processing corporate actions; collecting securities income on behalf of the funds; reconciling, reporting and moving money in support of fund shareholder transactions; and managing fund liquidity.
The FPCMS Technology Group is responsible for delivering top quality scalable systems solutions for the Asset Management business functions within Fidelity Investments. The FPCMS Technology Platform consists of mainframe and distributed architecture including multiple interfaces both internal and external to the FPCMS Organization. The systems employed include the source fund accounting, pricing, tax and data exchange platforms. Working closely with technology support functions, the role of this team is to ensure the data and functionality is complete, accurate and available to users in a timely manner
Role Description:
As of a Key member of FPCMS database serivices, this candidate is expected
To lead the Database Application support functions team with indepth knowedge of Oracle RAC, Oracle Performane & Tuning and SQL Tuning.
To identify and execute improvements in database services, through automation, self service enablement and process improvements
· Technical Manager / Lead across multiple projects simultaneously.
· Enable solutions to business problems through deep subject matter expertise and delivery oriented approach
· Provides technical supervision on multiple applications for Oracle Databases & Oracle RAC
· Design, document, script, test and implement internally developed or vendor applications
· Participates in design reviews and unit testing
· Work with the systems analysts to define requirements
· Participate in level 3 on-call rotation to support critical applications
· Qualified applicant should have 12 to 15+ years of Oracle Database Design, Performance & Tuning experience in a complex, multi-platform environment
Candidate Description
Education and Experience
Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Equivalent
12+ years of IT experience with at least 5+ years of experience in DB performance & Tuning and Infrastructure engineering and development support, large projects and programs.
Skills/Knowledge and experience
Database Engineering Manager should be versed in the following:
Traditional Database Technologies - Oracle, DB2 UDB, Sybase
Industry standards on commercial DB technologies
BU requirements on commercial DB technologies
Knowledge of Emerging Database Technologies
Experience in a "DevOPS" role
Experience in a UNIX environment: shell, sed, awk, perl, etc.
Excellent troubleshooting and error analysis skills
Full working knowledge of Information Security concepts
Experience in multi-vendor environments
Solid understanding of software development lifecycle
Project Management Requirements
Strong prioritization skills in a fast paced, time sensitive environment
Demonstrated accountability for resolution of issues
Project time reporting
Estimate/Project risk analysis
Project Planning and tracking experience
