Technical Skills-Mobile Application Development
Basic Function
Sr. Manager/Manager level position is responsible for architecting mobile application development projects from planning through execution. This will involve managing other developers (both in-house and partner resources) and communicating regularly with our clients and internal team members throughout the project.
This person is responsible for leading native and hybrid application development projects for handsets and tablets, primarily for iOS, Android and Windows. A deep understanding of mobile software development is required, but the ideal candidate must also provide guidance on best practices throughout the entire project, from design to deployment.
* Lead development of mobile application projects for native and hybrid environments
* Oversee and participate in design, architecture, documentation, debugging, and deployment
* Estimate and architect projects that are complicated or have not been done before
* Optimize mobile site and application performance and scalability
* Promote our mobile development capabilities and knowledge at occasional client, industry, and internal meetings
* Provide subject matter expertise on customer projects
* Develop/deliver client presentations
* Quick learner with ability to grasp new technologies
Essential Functions
Experience with:
* Integrating external web services and APIs
* Ad-hoc, enterprise, and App Store distribution for iOS
* The submission and approval process for Apple's App Store, Google Play, and Amazon Appstore for Android
* Source control systems such as Git, VSS and Subversion
* QA methodology for mobile software development projects
* Effectively communicating technical decisions and reasoning to clients internal team members
Understanding of:
* Standard device controls, creating custom UI elements, UI methodologies, and device optimization
* Programming methodologies and memory management
* Block and multi-threaded programming concepts
* Design patterns and technical architecture design
Primary Internal Interactions
* Business / Operational Leadership, and/or Senior Management
* All Technology Sub-Functions.
Primary External Interactions
* Client Teams - especially Client Business &Technology Teams.
* Professional Services team of the Product company for Implementation and their support team
Organizational Relationships
Reports To : SAVP / AVP - Technology ApplicationsSupervises :LAM / AM / Engineers
