The application is an internal, web application, developed in C# using the .NET 4.0 Framework and a SQL Server database. It is developed using the Agile development methodology. Strict attention is paid to application security, application stability, and risk control policies. In addition to the technical skills outlined below, the candidate should be a strong self starter with excellent communication skills, who can work in a team, engage with teams across the organization, and engage with project stakeholders. We are looking for an individual who can 'think outside the box'.
Responsibilities:
Participate in Agile product backlog/sprint sessions
Analyze business requirements and outline the proposed IT solution
Provide necessary technical architecture to resolve complex business problems
Line management of the team of around 6 in Bangalore.
Champion adoption of agile practices, run agile team ceremonies and drive incremental delivery practices.
Designing and implementing Test Automation framework for the application
Mentoring and guiding team members in technical areas and reviewing feasibility of technical approach.
Participate in design reviews and provide input to the design recommendations
Incorporate security requirements into design
Provide input to information/data flow
Adhere to Project Life Cycle Methodology in all planning steps
Adhere to IT Control Policies throughout design, development and testing
Incorporate Corporate Architectural Standards into application design specifications.
Identify/troubleshoot application code-related issues
Collaborate with the application sponsor and application users
Be expected to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Qualifications:
Excellent analytical, communication, team management, organizational, problem-solving, and client service skills coupled with a strong work ethic
Ability to translate business requirements into functional requirements
Ability to translate functional requirements in technical specifications and necessary technical designs.
7+ years experience with full development lifecycle from inception through implementation
5+ years experience with Visual Studio (2005 or greater) / .NET Framework 4.0 / C#
5+ years experience working with SQL Server (2005 or greater)
5+ years experience working in Windows/IIS environment
2+ years experience with Web Services, Windows Communication Foundation (WCF)
2+ years experience with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) and DTSX packages
2+ years experience with SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services)
2+ years experience working with VBScript, JavaScript, HTML, XML, JQuery, AJAX
3+ years experience in T-SQL programming
1+ years experience in an AGILE development environment
Possess good database knowledge such as normalization, indexing, optimization, data modeling, data mapping, etc.
Ability to create/edit stored procedures, tables and views
Experience with Version Control Software such as SubVersion, MS Excel, MS Project, MS Visio
Experience with development, deployment, and support of large-scale applications
Experience with .Net programming standards and best practices
Experience with Automated Testing tools and creation of automated testing scripts in a .NET environment
Experience of working with users and securing UAT signoff
Test-infected attitude (strong desire to perform thorough and exhaustive unit, integration and system testing)
Experience working for a large financial institution - optional
