Position Summary:

GWM Technology, a division of AM Technology is looking to recruit an experienced Applications Developer Lead to support the delivery of Applications in response to growing business demand.

The ideal candidate would be an experienced Technology lead with an applications development background, having experience in leading agile teams, expertise in the design and delivery of high-performance large scale technology solutions working with global business partners.     

 

Responsibilities

·        Work with Global partners, business teams to gather, analyze requirements, and assist the team in defining appropriate technology solutions for business scenarios.

·        Participate in technical design, provide input to the design recommendations; incorporate security requirements into design; and provide input to information/data flow; participate in development of few components.

·        Strong facilitation of meetings and stakeholder management including drawing out input from all key participants.  Ability to lead and communicate effectively complex subjects with a wide variety of technical and functional staff.

·        Collaborate with technical groups (development, unit testing, integration testing) and operational groups (Operate, Infrastructure, Release Management) across regions (APAC, EMEA, USA).

·        Effective People Management skills and the ability to participate as a leader within a global development team.

 

Essential Knowledge & Experience:

·        Effective hands-on development leader with outstanding success delivering large scale applications in a fast paced, dynamic, and time-sensitive organization.

·        Experience in design & delivery of large scale, complex, high performing financial solutions.

·        Bachelor’s degree with 12 plus years of financial technology industry experience with significant part of them with Applications development.

·        Knowledge of trading systems, Trade Life Cycle, funds products & other Financial Products.

·        Demonstrate analytical techniques and ability to make recommendations to technical and program leadership to improve the product, process or technology and present ideas clearly and concisely.

·        Creative problem solver and solutions developer when presented with conflicting requirements, business demands and technical risks/issues.

·        Excellent presentation and persuasion skills.

·        Extensive experience with

·        Object Oriented programming, core Java knowledge, & J2EE experience

·        JavaScript (EXT-JS, AngularJS), Ajax, HTML

·        Experience with spring framework (Spring Core/JDBC etc.)

·        Experience with Service Oriented Architecture, experience with WebServices, particularly RESTful services; messaging technologies (e.g. MQ Series)

·        Exposure to Build tools (Maven, Jenkins) & SCM tools (Subversion)

·        Scripting languages (Shell, Perl, Python/Jython,  etc)

·        Testing tools (Fitness,  Selenium, Cucumber)

·        SQL ,  RDBMS, No SQL systems (Sybase / Oracle / MongoDB)

·        Knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) & Agile methodologies

 

Additional Skills:

·        Experience with Rational Application Developer/Eclipse IDE

·        Working knowledge of WebSphere Application Server 7, Tomcat

·        Strong written and verbal communication skills.

·        Good interpersonal skills, having positive approach and team player.

·        Challenge and suggest requirements, enhancements to the platform

·        Good prioritization and time management in a fast paced environment.

·        A proactive approach to problem solving and decision making.

·        Proven application delivery & people management track record.

·        Ability to provide solutions to a tight deadline and customer focus mind-set.

·        Passion for learning new product domain, tools and techniques.
