We need a self-starter, self-initiated, and self-driven candidate with strong passion for user interface architecture, design and development of the next generation UI for consumer products. This role requires the person to work on a wide variety of platforms and technologies. Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies, ability to perform deep research and itchy fingers to rapidly prototype your innovative ideas are primary requirements. Passion to build new concepts from scratch, evangelize them, and guide concepts into full-fledged products is essential. Ability to translate usage observations into technology vision and concepts that demonstrate possibilities is a critical skill.

Key Responsibilities:
* Is a thought leader with significant experience building and guiding large projects. Experience in mentoring Architects and Engineers. Very hands-on with ability to conceive and build prototypes using appropriate technologies on his/her own and also with team where needed.
* Research into new technologies, platforms, security landscape, and solutions, especially applied to the user interface side. Is completely self-driven and has the ability to work independently. Well-versed in creation of IP, proven track record of creation of impactful patterns and research publications.
* Ability to architect solutions from scratch and in legacy environments across clients. Understand and dissect high level ambiguous problem statements and conceive and develop appropriate solutions. Experience with business and Competitor teardowns and a good understanding of the domains.
* Ability to research the unknown and come up with potential ideas and solutions, evangelize and collaborate with Engineering and Product Management. Ability to move across domains and technologies and adaptable when having to work in new / emerging technologies. Is willing to quickly learn and boldly experiment and propose innovative solutions. Is able to appreciate market dynamics and fine tune / calibrate as needed.
* A solid combination of technology depth and keen sense of acumen, who can think and drive like an entrepreneur.
* Has good experience on performance and scalability related solutions in large transaction based applications and environments.
* Familiar with multiple tools and techniques, methodologies, processes that facilitate idea generation and prioritization.
* Experience in collaborating with Global teams across geographies and time zones will be a plus.
* Experience working in an agile scrum process will be a plus
Key Skills/Capabilities:
* Advanced design coding skills in HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript/C++
* Web technologies - JavaScript libraries, Web services, Browser plugins, DOM, .NET, Web 2.0, Cloud infrastructures, etc.
* Client technologies - Win32 APIs, Windows Runtime (WinRT), Windows Store Apps, WinJS.
* Demonstrated experience and understanding of browser internals, DOM, large Javascript based applications.
* First hand experience building scalable and functional user interfaces using a variety of technologies on the Windows platform. Strong foundational knowledge and experience on the Windows operating systems. Hands-on engineering skills for writing user interface code from the ground-up.
* Knowledge or experience with the following technologies is a big plus:
o Web application MVC frameworks ( NodeJS/Express, Django, Rails, Spring, Zend, CakePHP, Meteor, etc )
o Web Sockets
o Client Side Javascript frameworks ( AngularJS, Backbone, Ember, Knockout, etc )
o Database design & programming
* Ability to deal with ambiguity inherent in advanced research and technology topics.
* Experience designing backend for consumer applications with cloud reliance.
* Nice to have - Mobile development - at least one of - Android, iOS application development - demonstrated experience of architecting and designing end to end systems from client UX to cloud.
* Nice to have - Compiler technologies- experience in writing compilers, optimization techniques, compiler internals and internal data structures.
