Responsibilities
===========
1.Oversees complex data modeling and advanced project metadata development.
2.Ensures that business rules are consistently applied across different user interfaces to limit the possibility of inconsistent results.
3.Designs specifications and standards for semantic layers and multidimensional models for complex BI projects, across all environments.
4.Consults on training and usage for the business community by selecting appropriate BI tools, features, and techniques.
5.Sets and enforces BI standards and architecture. Ensure that the BI architecture with enterprise architecture are in line.
6.Manage ETL and reporting teams
7.Translates business requirements into a full end-to-end Business Intelligence Solution.
8.Responsible for leading the strategic design and maintenance of business intelligence applications.
9.Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems.
10.Ensures that the use of business intelligence applications enhances business decision making capabilities.
11.Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
12.Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
13.Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
14.Performs a variety of tasks.
15.Leads and directs the work of others.
16.A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Skills
====
* A minimum of 10 years relevant experience with relational and multidimensional database design, implementation, strong T-SQL / SQL and knowledge of MDX.
* Proficient in at least one BI tool.
* Experience with reporting system and data warehouse requirements gathering, analysis and design of ETL processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) (Or any open source tools like Pentaho).
* Expert knowledge of Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence design principles.
* Strong knowledge of BI tools, including the Microsoft BI Stack: SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS.
* Experience with delivering OLAP data to end users through Excel, ProClarity, PerformancePoint or other analytics products.
* SharePoint implementation experience a plus.
* Possess strong business acumen and consistently demonstrates forward thinking.
* Eagerly and proactively investigates new technologies.
* Has have a working knowledge and understanding of architectural frameworks,
technical infrastructure, protocols and networks.
* Must possess a deep working knowledge of multiple platforms, operating systems, databases and mobile technology.
* Must be able to routinely work with little or no supervision.
* Must be able to effectively and efficiently handle multiple and shifting priorities.
* Must be able to direct a team of BI developers assign and prioritize tasks, and provide mentoring.
