Groupon is looking for mobile developers who have the passion for all things mobile, and want to help build Groupon's next generation products for mobile commerce.
Do you have an eye for detail and are you looking to work on a name brand app with a great team? Over half of Groupon's multi-billion dollar North American business happens on mobile. Groupon's highly rated iPhone app is among the top 50 most downloaded apps in the App Store and our Android and touch experiences are relied on by customers across 42 countries.
The mobile team is looking for talented engineers for our Bangalore office to help drive the evolution our mobile platform. You will work closely with UX and UI, product management, and other teams to conceive, design, and create unique mobile experiences. As a key member of this team, you will own the technical planning and implementation of new features and capabilities. Your code will be rock solid and built to perform as Groupon has ambitious plans to reinvent the way everyone experiences e-commerce online. Be a part of that.
The kind of stuff you'll be doing:
Go-to person for technical advice and ability to flawlessly execute complicated plans.
Craft new features with product and design to keep our products exciting for consumers and merchants
Own the technical planning and implementation of new iOS features and capabilities
Triage defects and determine root cause analysis for issues.
Qualification:
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems Management or related field.
8+ years of experience
Excellent Objective-C programming skills
Deep knowledge of iOS
One or more deployed consumer applications under your belt
Strong intuition for UX and consumer behavior
Expert at mobile applications performance optimization and implementing test harnesses.
Experience with i18n & L13N
