POSITION : Sr Analyst Distributed Systems LAN PC - Database Administration
EXPERIENCE : 6 + Years
EDUCATION : Any Graduate Whitefield, ITPL
LOCATION : Bangalore
Skills : Oracle DBA, SAP Oracle database applications and non-SAP oracle database applications
Education & Relevant Experience (in brief):
* Any Graduate from any discipline
* Must be proficient and possess strong working experience in:- 5+ years of solid hands-on database analysis and administration in 24X7 production environment of SAP Oracle database applications and non-SAP oracle database applications
* Excellent verbal and written Communication skills
* Must have worked in a Remote support environment.
* Proficient in managing and administering Oracle production database environments on IBM AIX unix, and Windows server platforms
* Proficient in use of SAP Database management tools, SQL, Oracle Enterprise Management tools
* Strong skills in problem analysis & resolution, performance and tuning management, working with remote database team, leading team activities and projects
* Proficient in Microsoft SQLServer database management and administration, Microsoft SQLServer Cluster a plus
* Desired MaxDB database management and administration is a plus
* Desired project management experience, Microsoft office suite of products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), Visual Basic programming, leadership, and people management
* Proficient in Patch management, installs, upgrades, working with Oracle Metalink and vendor support
* Desired SAP data and image archiving a plus
* Excellent analytical and trouble-shooting skills
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain and support Kennametal Global Database systems for production business applications. This includes SAP Oracle database systems, non-SAP Oracle database systems running on Unix and Windows platforms and Microsoft SQL Server database systems running on windows platforms
* Perform production support, problem analysis/resolution, administration of databases, basic database performance monitoring, analysis and tuning
* Provide technical database support for projects
* Perform activities/tasks as directed by team lead.
* This position will provide remote, offshore support for centralized and non-centralized database systems
* Responsible for project and production support.
* Working in local/remote matrixed teamwork environment.
* Work well with and through others within and outside IT.
* Able to trouble-shoot a variety of situations - network, SAP system, database, etc, especially from within the SAP system.
* Strong skills in project planning, and develop/maintain documentation for processes and procedures.
Desired Skills : Good to have if not also is fine
* Certification as Oracle database administration and Database concepts and design
* ITIL, Lean methodologies preferred
