The description of organization are following: National e-Governance Division The Capacity Building Scheme under the National e-Governance Plan (NeGP) of Government of India envisions establishment of an institutional framework for State-Level decision-making including setting-up of State e-Mission Teams (SeMTs) having relevant expertise and experience to provide technical and professional support to States and Union Territories. For this purpose, the Department of Information Technology (DIT), Government of India, has created NeGD as an autonomous business division within Media Lab Asia, under the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Government of India, for taking up the tasks being carried out by the Programme Management Unit National e-Governance Plan (PMU-NeGP) at DIT. Immediate tasks for NeGD include the following projects: Programme Management of NeGP, inter-alia including facilitating and supporting DIT in undertaking the following tasks and responsibilities assigned to DIT under NeGP: *Facilitating implementation of NeGP by various Ministries and State Governments *Providing technical assistance to Central Ministries and State Line Departments *Serving as a secretariat to the Apex Committee *Undertaking technical appraisal of all NeGP projects to examine issues such as overall technology architecture, framework, standards, security policy, service delivery mechanism, sharing of common infrastructure etc. *Human Resource Development, Training and Awareness Building *Framing core policies, technical assistance, R&D, awareness and assessment and creation of organization structure *Acting as a Central Agency for an effective implementation of Capacity Building Scheme inter-alia involving provisioning of manpower at various SeMTs across States/ UTs *Positioning of a Capacity Building Management Cell for effective management of manpower at SeMTs together with management of other Scheme activities including training, setting up HR policies, etc. Job Description: Job Description 1.Job Title: Senior Consultant - UI 2.Activities and Responsibilities *Hands on development of UI components *Applies graphic/visual design to interfaces, including creating icons, updating layouts, and enhancing displays; insures consistent application across product *Develop low and high fidelity wireframes, clickable prototypes, site maps, and design documentation that incorporate all technical, editorial, and usability specifications of the project *Work closely with development team/business analysts to ensure the design meets the requirements *Collaborate with project solutions architect/s to ensure that units of work fit into the strategic design for the program *Work closely with work stream project managers to provide accurate estimates, updates for items of work *Ability to effectively present solutions to senior team members *Gain technical and business understanding of the e-Governance Applications *Provide innovative solutions to complex problems *Ensure work under the project/s is completed as per plan 3.Skills & Experience *Expert in developing highly optimized, cross-browser, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, XHTML and CSS *Proficient with UX wireframe and prototyping software (e.g. Axure, Fireworks, Photoshop, Illustrator); familiar with Snagit, Visio, XML, HTML, HTML5 and CSS *Strong sense of modern, clean design and aesthetics that can be applied to create pixel perfect layouts *Must have experience with DOM manipulation *Must be familiar with the use of UI Debugging tools such as Firebug, Web Developer Tools etc. *Familiar with current W3C standards, compatibility issues and fallback strategies for legacy browsers *Knowledge of Web servers(like Tomcat, WebSphere, Glassfish), JSF, Spring IOC, JSP *Working knowledge of developing web applications in Eclipse or other IDEs *Working knowledge of deploying and debugging applications Linux/Windows environment *Working experience of Code Repository viz.
