Oracle DBA ( Performance Tuning expert)
Oracle DBA 10-12 Yrs
Location :Bangalore
We are looking for a DBA who worked closely with application team in helping performance related issues. Profile should be Oracle DBA and strong in performance tuning both sql and server side. Exposure on the advanced technologies like Bigdata, NoSql etc. can be considered as a plus. Bachelors/Masters in CS / CE / EE with 10 - 12 years experience in Oracle.
Ø Implementing backup and restore processes
Ø Implementing various replication solutions
Ø Tools installation and agent management for OEM
Ø LT environment builds & reviews; Load test use case reviews, monitoring the DB during the LT tests, creating a list of observations, providing recommendations and implementations of those;
Ø Analysis of the functional requirements
Ø Design Requirements gathering and discussion with the teams
Ø Deployment server configuration/setups
Ø SVN repository configuration and readiness
Ø Create and/or modify database code to meet specifications
Ø Create queries, stored procedures, and other database artifacts for use in applications by development engineering teams
Ø Develop and test all database code such as stored procedures and functions, index management, PLSQL code & SQL tuning
Ø Ad-hoc requests e.g. working on custom scripts as per new/updated requirements
Ø Integrations of Service and other CSO/SSO/Service components
Ø Version management of various components that supports a platform;
Ø Creating shell scripts to automate DB activities for reducing manual work and time required
Ø Create logical and physical database design, logic flow charts and process diagrams
Ø Develop processes for data migration and integration between system
Ø Manage physical data storage and partitioning strategies;
Ø Providing technical POC for various business cases e.g. solution design using various technologies like streams, various backup techniques, PL/SQL etc.
Ø Installation of the Software/Patches/database server
Ø Provide production support during business/non-business hours under direction.
Ø Supporting and developing the DB changes on Development, Stage, Load Testing and Production environment.
Ø Purging activities and Re-organization of data; Table fragmentation identification and rebuild table/indexes;
Ø Working knowledge of Oracle RAC
Ø Manage physical data storage and partitioning strategies and Capacity planning for the DB/backend.
Ø Opening SRs with Oracle Support and following up with the resolution teams; Adopt the recommendations on our systems.
Ø Troubleshoot issues related to CPU, memory, I/O, disk space and other types of resource contention
Ø Good team player, Good attitude to learn and work with a global team distributed across the world.
