Please find the detailed JD hereunder: Job Description Role: Senior Consultant- UI Division: NeGD Function: Staffing NeGD Job Title: Senior Consultant - UI Activities and Responsibilities Hands on development of UI components Applies graphic/visual design to interfaces, including creating icons, updating layouts, and enhancing displays; insures consistent application across product Develop low and high fidelity wireframes, clickable prototypes, site maps, and design documentation that incorporate all technical, editorial, and usability specifications of the project Work closely with development team/business analysts to ensure the design meets the requirements Collaborate with project solutions architect/s to ensure that units of work fit into the strategic design for the program Work closely with work stream project managers to provide accurate estimates, updates for items of work Ability to effectively present solutions to senior team members Gain technical and business understanding of the e-Governance Applications Provide innovative solutions to complex problems Ensure work under the project/s is completed as per plan Skills & Experience Expert in developing highly optimized, cross-browser, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, XHTML and CSS Proficient with UX wireframe and prototyping software (e.g. Axure, Fireworks, Photoshop, Illustrator); familiar with Snagit, Visio, XML, HTML, HTML5 and CSS Strong sense of modern, clean design and aesthetics that can be applied to create pixel perfect layouts Must have experience with DOM manipulation Must be familiar with the use of UI Debugging tools such as Firebug, Web Developer Tools etc. Familiar with current W3C standards, compatibility issues and fallback strategies for legacy browsers Knowledge of Web servers(like Tomcat, WebSphere, Glassfish), JSF, Spring IOC, JSP Working knowledge of developing web applications in Eclipse or other IDEs Working knowledge of deploying and debugging applications Linux/Windows environment Working experience of Code Repository viz. GIT, RCS, CVS, SVN etc. and bug tracking tools viz. bugzilla, mantis etc Knowledge of graphic design and Photoshop is a major plus Knowledge of mobile development using HTML5 and jQuery is a plus Knowledge of Hibernate, SQL is a plus Ability to pick up new technologies, solve complex technical problems and multitask between different projects Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment Strong problem solving and analytical capabilities Flexibility and time management skills Good verbal and written communication skills Qualifications Expert Web UI developer with strong analytical and technical ability with 10-15 years of experience in HTML, CSS, JQuery, Java/J2EE Interested candidates can share their resume with sachin@vcorpventures.com Is this job relevant to you?
