BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION :
1. Ideal candidate will be focusing on delivering technically accurate and inventive DW/BI solutions that capitalize on Microsoft technologies/tools/patterns that are relevant to customer's problem/opportunity domain.
2. Candidate must be hands-on in design and development and will be responsible for assessing, designing, executing and troubleshooting DW/BI solutions. This includes analyzing the business requirements ; designing scalable/robust solutions ; documenting specifications & architectural designs (high, low level) ; help developers in development/coding and supporting developers throughout the project life cycle. Be responsible for leading the strategic design and maintenance of Business Intelligence applications
3. Candidate will work on increasing the quality of DW/BI deliverables, assuring technical correctness and competence. Candidate will be accountable of quality and timeliness of the deliverables and the project's compliance to the organizational processes and standards.
4. Candidate should understand and apply industry best practices; governance standards and design principals. Facilitating adoption of coding standards across applications. Ensure that all designs, implementations and development confirm to both functional and technical design specifications, reaching maximum performance, availability and serviceability. The candidate will have an overall review and ownership of the solution being delivered to the end customer

a. Manage the expectations of the customer and determine trade-off's for delivering the solution
b. Communicate overall progress, risks and associated mitigation plan to customer
c. Work with the customer in understanding the business requirements and assist offshore team in understanding these
d. Ensure that the use of Business Intelligence applications enhances business decision making capabilities
e. Verify accuracy of data; maintain and support the data warehouse
f. Work closely with multiple business functions and departments to define requirements implement business reporting solutions and create dynamic tools
g. Serve as a single point of contact for WNS at client side
PERSON SPECIFICATIONS :
ESSENTIAL DESIRABLE
WORK EXPERIENCE (MENTION NO. OF YEARS):
KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS/ COMPETENCY:
1. At least 8+ years of experience in the Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence field, with technical mastery in data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, analytics, reporting, and information driven technologies, techniques and tools.
2. MUST have experience in developing and owning solutions in large scale, complex enterprise environments based on Microsoft Business Intelligence. Must have hands-on experience in :
A) ETL using SSIS 2012 or higher
B) Reporting with SSRS 2012 or higher and with Power Pivot; Power View; Power Map using MS Excel.
C) OLAP cube modeling and design with SSAS, MDX and DAX
D) Implement dashboards in SharePoint Server with PerformancePoint Services
E) SQL Server Data Quality Services and SQL Server Master Data Services.
3. Must have worked with at least 5/6 end-to-end BI / DW product development life cycle (design, coding, testing, UAT, Rollout) in on-shore / off-shore type engagement.
4. Experience in client management derived from good communication skills and ability to manage expectations
5. Project/Program management skills. Strong familiarity with project management software, such as MS Project.
6. Ability to work responsibly and independently under minimal supervision.
7. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills; Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
8. Ability to provide a leadership / guidance to the team and junior managers. Worked as DW/BI Delivery Manager or Technical Manager in software development company.
