Position Summary:
* This position is for a major US based client (GNAX Health), who specializes in providing healthcare IT services and solutions for organizations across the U.S.
* Is responsible for solution design in accordance with strategic architecture for major systems and their subsystems utilizing a thorough understanding of available technology, tools and existing designs.
* Provides leadership, guidance and oversight for activities of applications systems analysis and programming personnel for a major project, several smaller projects, domain or department in support of the business strategy.Be the go to person for cross functional teams as a liason to clients, management, and developers.
* Develops database solutions by designing proposed system; defining database physical structure and functional capabilities, security, back-up, and recovery specifications.
* Develops and maintain database encryption solution as dictated by application requirements.
* Installs database systems by developing flowcharts; applying optimum access techniques; coordinating installation actions; documents actions.
* Maintains database performance by identifying and resolving production and application development problems; calculating optimum values for parameters; evaluating, integrating, and installing new releases.
* Provides database support by coding utilities, responding to user questions, and resolving problems.
* Maintain hands-on ETL and Database development to create database solutions for a wide variety of client projects.
* Collaborate with Technical Leads to understand solution design and processing specifications.
* Independently use ETL framework, and PostgreSQLto develop solution per specifications.
* Design, document, and execute unit test cases.
* Author detailed process flow documentation.
* Collaborate with Quality Assurance to test and rework applicable solution components.
Basic Job Requirements:
* 8+ years of hands-on architecting database systems.
* 12+ years as a Database developer and Database administration.
* SQL expert (12+ years of use in day-to-dayjob duties)
* Hands on experience in Oracle including 12c.
* Experience creating Database indexes, partitions,foreign keys, etc.
* Experience creating ER diagrams, DFDs etc.
* Experience in normalizing and tuning database, etc.
* Experience in designing, implementing and supporting highly available (HA) database systems in a clustered environment
* Experience in supporting a web based system with hundreds of concurrent users.
* 5+ years of hands-on heavy duty ETLexperience.
* 5+ years working on a Linux/Unix platform
* 3+ years of experience in Reporting Tools
* 2+ years of experience leading a smallteam of developers
* Bachelors/Master's Degree in Computer Science or related curriculums
