Position Summary:
As a member of the Technology & Product Engineering Group, the Software Development Lead is responsible for application Development, Support and Maintenance. S/he will work closely with Application Systems Engineers to provide day-to-day support and bug-fixes for all custom magazine applications and integrations.
This person will work on a team of developers implementing software. This person should have a strong working knowledge of Object Oriented programming using .net. The projects will be fast paced and technically rewarding. The person will collaborate with other groups including business clients, front-end developers, template developers and infrastructure/system developers. In addition, this person must be able to work across multiple facets of the project and juggle multiple responsibilities at the same time. The individual must have strong analytic capability and the ability to create innovative solutions. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is looking to grow their career in a fast paced environment.

PRIMARY RESPOSIBILITIES:
* Designing, building and maintaining web applications using C#,VB,.Net, XML, HTML, CSS and SQL Server and Experience in SSIS
* Developing high performance, .Net based web applications and web services
* Developing use cases and design alternatives in accordance with business requirements
* Participating in code reviews, working with testers and clients, to effectively document and validate all implementations
* Providing technical leadership and mentoring assistance to junior developers
* Understanding the system and suggesting and carrying out system improvements.
* Lead the small teams
* Review the deliverables
* Provide pseudo code, where applicable, to developers
* Collect Metrics and Status of the deliverables on a daily basis
* Work with Specialists and SMEs to create estimates
* Work with QA team to identify the bugs and root cause analysis
* Create and maintain the overall project schedule with the assistance of Manager(s)
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
* 5 years of Web Development experience
* 8 years of .Net/Microsoft technologies working experience
* Working knowledge of C#,VB, XAML, HTMLXML,.NET SQL Server, Web Services, SOAP and CSS
* Experience in SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and ETL
* Strong communication skills
* Ability to work independently
* Strong estimation skills
* Strong in Object Oriented Analysis and Design
* Experience with mission critical, 24x7 systems
* Ability to be on call 24 hours per day/7 days per week on a rotational basis
POSITION PREFERENCES:
* Experience in SDLC and Agile development methods
* Knowledge of magazine subscription fulfillment
* Understanding of estimation techniques
QUALIFICATIONS:
* BE/BS in MIS, Computer Science or related field of study
* Bachelors of Engineering/ B.Tech or MCA
* Professional Certifications (Preferred)
