JD for Support Analyst
Key Responsibilities
• Responsible for the analysis, trouble shooting and resolution of incidents that is disrupting the application service that business user depends on, while adhering to departmental procedures.
• Partner with the application teams to ensure that the issues are resolved in an efficient and timely manner.
• Possess the ability to write complex ad hoc queries for data analysis and troubleshooting purposes.
• Possess the technical capability to do the analysis of reported incidents.
• Trouble shoot and resolve advanced application issues utilizing logs, administration or monitoring tools
• Provide immediate attention towards Production or live issues.
• Possess good communication skills.
• Delivering support to existing business users and investigating and resolving application errors, data discrepancies and queries.
• Monitor progress of requests for support and ensure users and other interested parties are kept informed.
• Manage and trouble shoot application issues, understand the support tool and data flow.

Required Skills / Experience
• 2 - 4 years of experience in IT or related field
• Working knowledge on SQL Server 2008 and web based applications
• Troubleshooting on SQL queries.
• Ability to use SQL query tools to research data issues
• Must be able to analyze, diagnose and solve complex issues independently as well as cooperatively
• Strong communication skills; Must communicate clearly with customers and peers
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science

Desired Skills / Experience
• Knowledge of SSAS/OLAP/SSIS will be added advantage.
