*THIS IS A REMOTE POSITION*
Job Description:
Working as part of a small team the candidate will be involved in developing and implementing a new, reactive UI for a web-based pension estimate website. The ideal candidate will have strong UI development experience, but will also be able to work through the entire life-cycle, from analysis to design, development and testing.
Our applications are built on the .NET stack, leveraging technologies such as C#, ASP.NET MVC, WCF, Entity Framework, .NET 4.0, VS2010 and SQL Server 2008.
Candidate will be responsible for:
- collaborating with other technical and business team members on analysis and requirements
- designing, developing, and testing .NET applications/services
- participating in code reviews
- participating in code deployment
The following skills are required:
- undergraduate degree in computer sciences or a related field preferred
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- experience working with Visual Studio 2010/2013
- experience developing with C# and .NET (4+ years)
- experience developing ASP.NET MVC 4 websites (4+ years)
- advanced JavaScript skills
- experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (Knockout, Backbone AngularJS etc.)
- experience developing with ASP.NET AJAX
- experience developing with jQuery/jQuery UI
- experience developing WCF services
- experience with NuGet
- experience developing applications that use SQL Server 2008
- practical knowledge of HTML, XHTML, JavaScript, CSS and other web standards
- knowledge of design principles (design patterns, cohesion/coupling, S.O.L.I.D. etc.)

Pay rate range: $Negotiable
