Role Summary/Purpose Quality Assurance Engineer will perform integration, functional, security and regression testing, covering both manual and automation scenarios, for Java/J2EE based applications within the Solution portfolio. Responsibilities include: analyzing requirement and functional specifications, formulating test plans, developing and executing test cases, reporting detailed test statuses, and logging defects.

 

Qualifications/Requirements • BS in Computer Science or equivalent

• 4-10 years' experience testing Java/J2EE based applications including but not limited to testing webservices, SOA, EJBs and Messaging Queues.

2+ years' of experience in automation tools such as QTP, HP LoadRunner, HP WinRunner

• Experience in Security Testing such as SQL injection, cross scripting.

• Hands on experience in both Black Box and White Box testing

• Experience applying SQL, PL/SQL and UNIX knowledge for testing is a must.

• Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement initiatives

• Experience with scrum or other agile SDLC

• Knowledge of Server and database technology.

 

Desired Characteristics • Testing ETLs such as Informatica.

• Developing of Test automation framework.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Demonstrated initiative and analytical thinking style.

• Proven track record of being a strong team player

• Lead the efforts performance testing, stress testing and security testing
