Job Description:
The ideal candidate will have a technical background in delivering Engineering & Manufacturing applications for multiple clients. The person must be able to work in a team and demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills. Good problem solving skills are required with the ability to analyse and determine root cause in a methodical way.
The ideal candidate will have a strong, broad, technical background in deploying, configuring, administering and supporting Siemens PLM Teamcentre and NX applications for large scale manufacturing / engineering companies and possess extensive experience of the software development life-cycle (requirements through to support).
The role will include a degree of 3rd Party and Client engagement so candidates need to be able to communicate complex technical concepts and solutions to a non-technical audience.
*Identify/manage and achieve technical scope of the project
*Define/propse/create architect level solution on TeamCenter suite of products based on customer business requirements
*Identify and understand the integration points of the solution in the given application landscape and define the interfaces/integrations
*Create/define roadmaps/strategy for data migration, application upgrades and/or site consolidations
*Should act as the senior technical "go-to" person in an assigned project
*Provide technical direction and mentoring for all project resources
*Be a contributor to the creation of best practices through the identification of reusable project level assets
*Assisting/Leading estimation and implementations of technical solution
*Configure/customize, implement and support of TeamCenter applications
Skills/Experience :
*Graduate/Post graduate degree in Engineering
*Must have 6 to 10 years of experience in Teamcenter Unified
*Minimum 6+ years of IT experience with good exposure to Requirements Gathering, Design, Development, Testing and Implementation of Teamcenter Unified based applications.
*Have strong knowledge of Teamcenter configuration/customization with good experience in BMIDE custom template development & deployment
*In depth experience in server side ITK customization & rich client customization across various modules of Teamcenter Unified
*Strong working Knowledge on Multiple Teamcenter Modules (PSE, Access manager, Workflow, Queries, Change Management, Reporting)
*Have working knowledge on various product development Processes (BOM, Change Management etc)
*Exposure/experience in Teamcenter to CAD integration, Teamcenter to ERP integration and Teamcenter to MES integration will be helpful
*Participated/led/coordinated Teamcenter Unified Implementation projects
*Familiarity with SDLC process
*Should have good verbal and written communication
*Must have experience in working in global teams
*Experience of Data Migration from Legacy Systems into PLM
*Experience of working in Engineering and/or manufacturing applications and companies
*Deploying, configuring, administering and supporting Siemens PLM Teamcentre and NX applications
*Unix scripting & admin
*Good understanding of Configuration Management
*WebLogic or JBOSS
*Knowledge of Wintel and UNIX packaging disciplines
*Experience on one or more full release project life cycles.
*Basic understanding of testing.
*Able to apply consistently quality and security standards.
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Day to day responsibilities:
*Develop and deploy PLM project changes.
*PLM configuration and build.
*Analyse customer system change requirements and define deployment packaging approach
*Develop and deploy PLM Teamcentre system changes to test and production environments
*Creation of technical build documentation
*Liaise with PLM teamcenter vendor and customers for system changes
*Creation of system deployment packages and package maintenance within the agreed configuration management tool.
*Identifies, develops, updates, and enforces standards and procedures.
*Monitors and ensures resolutions of performance issues.
*Interfaces with support groups and production problems, technical concerns, and financial issues.
*Researches, evaluates, and stays current on emerging tools, techniques, and technologies.
*Provide problem statements in clear and concise business terms to enable client impacting and problem progression.
*Design, develop and implement problem fixes within agreed timescales.
*Impact and implement Change Requests to agreed timescales.
