We are Currently hiring for EMC, Bangalore for Principle Engineer Please find the JD : GENERAL SUMMARY Working under minimal direction and exercising considerable latitude, provides technical solutions for a sustaining team in delivering solutions to customer problems, which require strong technical expertise, frequent use of ingenuity and creativity. Provide solutions, develops algorithms and functionality as required to meet these customer problems/requirements. Understands hardware and software product development lifecycles. Develops test plans to validate and ensure robustness of development solutions. Identifies gaps between project requirements and implementation, and documents them. Provides work leadership to others. Assignments include fixing existing products/features, and also might include new features/requirements coming in from customer enhancements. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Solve problems customer escalations to engineering in a time critical manner. * Develop new features and enhancements for previous releases of Symmetrix Enginuity as required by the customer * Interacts cross functionally on matters that require coordination across organization lines. * Collaborates well with other engineers and other engineering groups, voluntarily shares information. * Offers proposed design changes/suggestions to processes and products, exerts significant latitude in determining objectives of an assignment. * Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives, without appreciable direction.
