We currently have Oracle PL SQL/SQL,TSQL Developer role with our client PWC(PricewaterHouse Coopers) for Bangalore location. The JD for the above said position is given below: PL/SQL Developer(Permanent role) Job Location:Bangalore Interview Date: Will be inform once gets shortlisted in Bangalore. Client is only looking for the candidates who can join him on short notice of 20 days.. Overall 7 plus years of expereince with a mimimum 3 plus years of hands on DBA experience and/or Oracle PL SQL / SQL Server T-SQL Development in Data warehousing projects > Proven Oracle Database Administration experience across different versions of Oracle 9i and above > Should have worked in a Multi Terabyte environment in a Unix/Linux RAC environment > Should be well versed and proficient in all areas relating to indexing, performance tuning, partitioning, materialized views etc. > Practical experience in monitoring and tuning a database to provide a high availability service > Have thorough understanding of the basic data warehouse needs such as bitmap indexes, Star schemas, hierarchies and OLAP > Should have an understanding of DBA activities like Oracle Installation, Patching, Cloning, Backup and Recovery > Should have played the DBA atleast for 2 plus years having experience in maintaining the production instances ensuring availability and performance of the databases that support the system. > Should have full understanding of schema modelling, resource and profile management, aggregation, SQL modelling, EXPLAIN Plan, Tkprof and I/O design. > Should be good in handling database Performance issues > Should have good hands on experience in PLSQL > Should have good analytical skills. > Ability to write/troubleshoot stored procedures/triggers > Good understanding of Datawarehousing concepts > Good knowledge in ETL methodolgies. > Knowledge in ETL tools like Datastage, Informatica will be an advantage, but not necessary > Knowedlge in BI tools like Cognos, Microstrategy, Business Object, Hyperion will be and added advantage, but not necessary > Flexible to work on shifts > Understanding of DW lifecycle and contributed in preparing technical design documents and test plans will be a value add > Participation in quality processes and implementation > Participation in regular project status meetings *CANDIDATE SHOULD BE WORKING IN A PERMANENT POSITION IN COMPANY* *THE CLIENT IS LOOKING FOR A SHORT NOTICE PERIOD MAXIMUM 20 DAYS AND MORE THAN A 20 DAYS WILL BE REJECTED* *CANDIDATES WORKING IN A CONTRACT POSITION IS NOT ACCEPTABLE* F2F interviews are happening for the shortlisted candidates on 1st Dec'12, Saturday in Bangalore in the following address..
