You may just have found your dream job. SUPPLY CHAIN BUSINESS TECHNOLOGIES is a global Engineering team that delivers Line of Business applications to support rapid growth of our business. Currently there are 100+ applications in our portfolio and these include revenue systems, forecasting and planning, returns & refurbishment, sales, business intelligence and much more based on core Microsoft platforms including Azure, SQL, BizTalk, MS Dynamics AX and more. The application portfolio is largely based on Supply chain operations reference (SCOR) model comprising of 5 distinct management processes namely - Plan, Source, Make, Deliver and Return. Application portfolio also includes third party products like SAP R/3, APO etc. We engineer applications from the ground up specific to the requirements of the business, and we need people who are passionate about delivering a high-quality bar into production.
We are in the process of extending our data infrastructure and provide a highly scalable data service across the world. This Business Intelligence and analytics platform will be responsible for consolidating multiple geo-distributed data sources, replicating data updates within tight SLAs and delivering large data snapshots to any machine in any data center at any time. We are developing Data lake and Data warehousing capabilities that aid in business decision making for the supply chain using the latest Azure technology stack - specifically ADL, HDInsights, ADF, and ADW etc. Our Data Lake and Warehousing solution will provide end-to-end supply chain visibility of business and system events and correlate them using complex event processing technology. We are an agile team, with a great track record, shipping every two weeks. We are looking for a SWE LEAD with strong technical and people management skills, excellent communication, leadership skills, coupled with passion for quality, agility and efficiency.
Roles/Responsibilities
You will be responsible for working as a Software Engineer with a team of strong software engineers providing technical Solutions and implement the BI and Analytics strategy and direction to the supply chain business. You will be required to be hands-on, bring innovative approaches that continuously improve our ability to deliver faster, better and cheaper solutions while reducing the time and cost to build BI and analytics solutions and on-board with highest quality. You will also interface with extended team members (Program managers and support team members) to ensure the highest quality solutions are delivered to our customers. You'll be responsible for designing, developing high quality code solutions with an emphasis on quality, simplicity and maintainability while ensuring sound instrumentation and telemetry into the solutions and measure Availability and Operational Intelligence metrics. You'll also be required to work with your peers on the big data, Hadoop technologies and collaborate across azure teams in big-data mining and adopt in the Supply Chain BI solutions. Experience in Hadoop stack and able to generate actionable insights and aid in live site reviews is a requirement. You are expected to be an advocate of the customer by bringing in customer's perspective when designing, developing and testing solutions.
Qualifications
· BE/B.Tech in Computer Science or related field
· 8+ years of enterprise software design and development experience
· Professional, practical programming using .Net, C#, TSQL, SQL Server
· Strong technical expertise in Hadoop, ADL, HDInsights, ADF, ADW etc
· Extensive knowledge and experience in data warehousing, data processing (ETL), e-metrics/measurement, business intelligence, information retrieval, parallel and distributed computation
· Experience in implementation of Cloud Computing concepts and platforms
· Experience in analyzing very large real world datasets and hands-on approach in data analytics
· Experience with Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, Telemetry etc.
· Great design and problem solving skills, with a strong bias for quality and engineering excellence
· Excellent verbal and written communications skills
· Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills with a solid understanding of testing practices
· Proven sense of high accountability and self-drive to take on and see through big challenges
· Experience working in a global delivery model
· Experience with SCRUM, LSB, SAFe or similar Agile development/implementation methodologies
· Familiarity with automation tools – Visual Studio etc.
