Hands on exp vendor management experience, team management experience, handling of appraisals, reviews, performance reviews for the team, stakeholder management, etc.
Associate Manager, QA
Strategy & Planning
* Lead the development, establishment, and enforcement of quality assurance measures and testing standards for new applications, products, and/or enhancements to existing applications.
* Ensure that software quality measures comply with regulatory standards, industry standards, and accepted best practices.
* Create methodologies and processes for the collection and analysis of data for ensuring software, systems, and product quality.
* Analysis of formal test results in order to discover and report any defects, bugs, errors, configuration issues, and interoperability flaws.
* Analysis of documentation and user stories for new/enhanced applications to determine its intended functionality.
* Experience with establishing comprehensive KPI/SLA/OLA frameworks in the context of managing a testing organization is required.
* Excellent team management, leadership and communication skills in informal and formal (ie: presentations) settings is required
Operational Management
* Develop and write test plans and scripts for tracking defects and fixes and enhancements for TR products.
* Apply established metrics to determine the readiness, quality, and operability of products due for release to clients.
* Create and communicate test plans and scripts that will determine optimal application performance according to specification.
* Create internal governance to measure and assure adherence to established QA standards and methodology.
* Coordinate testing of new software to ensure integration into company systems meets functional requirements, system compliance, and technical specifications.
* Communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to business owners and product specialists.
* Train, coach, and mentor QA staff and other junior staff members.
* Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of quality assurance best practices.
Knowledge & Experience
* 10+ years of experience in IT industry with strong experience in managing QA teams
* 5+ years direct experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of quality assurance standards in both manual and automation testing
* 3+ years direct experience as a QA Manager for major application integration and/or major application product release.
* Proven skills in developing and implementing comprehensive QA/Testing improvement plans (People, Process, and Technology)
* Strong knowledge and experience working in an agile development environment, system testing metrics, best practices and methodologies.
* At least 4+ years direct experience managing all aspects of a QA team successfully
* Strong experience in handling global customers and stake holders
* Direct hands-on experience with ad hoc query programs, automated testing tools, and reporting software.
* Experience leading mid-to-large QA/Testing organizations, including People Care responsibilities (Coaching, Mentoring, Performance Management, etc)
* Extensive practical knowledge in importing data for use in report software, spreadsheets, graphs, and flow charts.
* Proven data analysis, data verification, and problem-solving abilities.
* Experience with statistical reporting and analysis.
* Good project management skills and/or substantial exposure to project-based work structures.
Formal Education & Certifications
* Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline.
* Proven experience leading teams in Functional, Automation and Non Functional test improvement
* Hands-on experience on automation frameworks like QTP, Selenium and coded UI
* Experience in integration/performance/stress testing.
