Role Title: Quality Assurance Lead Role purpose: The Quality Assurance Lead will help in creating, developing and deploying quality multi-layered web applications. Department: IT Location: Bangalore Work Timings: 11:00am - 8:00pm (3 days in a week) 1:00pm - 10:00pm (2 days in a week depending on project needs) Experience: Minimum 7 years Reports to: General Manager Reported by: Quality Assurance Engineers Key Areas of Responsibility and Accountability *Lead, manage, and participate in the QA testing efforts for multiple product releases. *Interact and work closely with a stellar development team throughout the product development life cycle. This includes, but is not limited to, communicating with Project Managers, Product Management, Creative, Engineering, Customer Service, Technical Support and IT. *Review and provide input into requirements, specifications, design documents and other creative and engineering documentation. *Develop and Maintain test plans, testing strategies, use cases, test cases, unit tests, test data, matrices, and other QA related documentation. *Perform Automated Testing using scripting and load testing tools. *Work closely with the Director of Quality Assurance to help innovate and continually improve the team's testing procedures and methodologies. Skill and experience requirements *Ability to work and play with a team of dedicated individuals. *Impeccable verbal and written communication skills. *Outstanding troubleshooting and analytical skills. *Proficiency in manual testing and selenium web driver. *Strong understanding of databases and experience with Oracle, SQL and Toad. *7 - 9 years QA experience with including Functional, Forced Error, Stress and Boundary, Real World/Exploratory, Load, and Performance testing. *1-2+ years testing financial applications. *2+ years of SQA Lead experience. *Firm understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle. *1-2 Years J2EE and or other Java based testing experience. This includes testing JSPs and servlets, Java Beans, JTA, JMS or related messaging service, and JDBC. *Self-driven with proven leadership qualities and ability. *Should be willing to work as individual contributor (test planning, test case creation, test case review, test case execution, bug reporting, requirement review, etc) and also mentor junior QA staff. *Experience on the QTP is preferred. *A Bachelor's degree in a technical major or equivalent computer experience. Associated requirements *Establish an environment of learning and growth keeping organizational values and operating policies in mind. *Facilitate and support the delivery of excellent quality product releases. *Work with junior QA engineers to resolve their technical issues & mentor them. *Work with developers to improve test plans. *Report work status on technical tasks to the General Manager.
